Bulldogs News · Varsity Football Earns 1st Team Academic All-State Honors

This week, the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association named its Academic All-State teams.

1.  There are 605 high schools that sponsored varsity football in 2018 in Michigan.  From those 605 teams, 28 seniors were selected by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association as Academic All-State Dream Team members.  This year we had THREE young men earn that recognition (for the first time in over 10 years).  Nolan Bainbridge, Marcus Cisco, and Keegan Deppe have been selected to the MHSFCA Academic All-State Dream Team.  These three young men had an average GPA of  4.12 and an average SAT score of 1,506.

2.  The 2018 Byron Center varsity football team was one of four teams in Div. 3 to earn 1st Team Academic All-State (2nd time in school history).
