Byron Center Wins Battle of Conference Unbeatens

JV Golf News

Josh Newsone and Kyle Tilstra hold their trophies from the Maple Hill JV Tournament on April 20.  Kyle won a “scorecard playoff” with a 39 and Josh won the long drive contest.  As you can see from the photo, the tournament was played in very cold, wet conditions.

BC Boys Golf News

Byron Center finished week two of the season on a high note.  With the help of a pair of 36’s from senior Max Lundy and junior Kurt Sprague the Bulldogs shot a season low of 149 at Maple Hill Golf Course.  This was good enough to get past Holland Christian who shot 154.  Rounding out

Byron Center defeats Zeeland East 5-2

In a battle between pitchers, Casey Greskowiak held Zeeland East (Brooke Leonard) to one hit and seven strikeouts until the 6th inning.  Greskowiak also got solid defense behind her as the defense recorded two double plays and  Katie Bird (catcher) picked off a runner at first.  The game was 1-0 in favor of Byron Center
