Kristina Baar threw a gem on Tuesday for Byron Center, allowing zero runs and besting Mona Shores by a score of 6-0.
The Bullodgs secured the victory thanks to four runs in the fifth inning. Byron Center’s big inning was driven by a single by Cierra Laska, a walk by AJ Gills, a double from Kenzie Domeier and a single by Kendahl Dyer.
Baar was the winning pitcher for Byron Center. She surrendered zero runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
The Bulldogs hit two home runs on the day. Dyer had a homer in the fourth inning. Rylynn Vandenberg also put one out in the fourth inning.
Byron Center scattered 12 hits in the game. Sydney Tilma, Dyer, VandenBerg, and Laska all managed multiple hits.
The Bulldogs improve to 26-2 on the season.
